Any day where the UV rating is moderate or higher should be a mandatory day off for us rangas

Is there a day to honour straight people? Or celibate people? No.

To have a holiday in honour of gay and lesbian people, and not straight people, would be "reverse-discrimination."

Also as bad as it probably sounds, i think its still a society and culture where people aren't 100% comfortable with embracing people being gay so by having a Public holiday is just rubbing it in the faces of those who aren't ready for it

I am all for equality and recognition of gay and lesbian rights but a public holiday is not needed or warranted.
