the dollar is flying at the moment, chance to hit $1.10 some are saying.
Looking at good www's to buy through in the USA. Anyone have any experience?
East bay seems good, for shoes, sports / surf / skate clothing etc.
www.eastbay.com
However shipping costs 25% of your order total, which evens it out a bit..

any others?

although you're gonna pay for postage it ends up being heaps cheaper...

having just been over there i saw iPhone 4's being sold for $349 outright! i had spent all my money already and vowed to the wife not to use the cc so i didn't get one, might be organising it now...

right now is a pretty good time for summer clothes, they are all on special because their summer has just finished...

Is postal on eastbay not 25% of your total purchase price? or am i reading that wrong? or do you mean just good rates for you?

I've just bought some penguin decorations for my tree, the only thing I panic about is whether the parcel will even get here. Unfortunately Australia Post are becoming less and less thrustworthy by the day.

My next purchase will be my new pair of Oakley Frogskins (Yes! they've been re-released!), which I can get to Australia for around $110, which is still at least $50 less than the Australian RRP and they haven't even been released here yet!

i brought 4 baseball bats off them and had free shipping just 2 weeks ago. think if you spend over $200 you get free or discounted shipping. Also on facebook or email they are always sending discounted offers.

CD's & DVD's are cheaper through Amazon now than JB and that's even after factoring in shipping costs.

If you plan on any expensive purchases it might be worth checking what if any value limits your Customs and Excise people have on imported goods so you won't get stitched with an unplanned for bill for import duty. Should be easy enough to find out from the customs or Postal service websties.

JAS

Yeah, I haven't used Amazon in years but I ordered 3 x Interpol vinyl records there the other day (2 of which were $11 each!!) with postage for around $8 for the lot. Amazing.
