What a dog's breakfast we have when it comes to trading hours!

Was out at Gepps Cross today where all the furniture stores were open but all the electrical stores were closed.

Harvey Norman was half open.

My mate's dad used to own what is now known as Good Guys at Pooraka and he had to trade as 4 different stores under the one roof to get around the trading laws.

When will the State Government have the balls to tell Don Farrell and his union mates to duck off so we can shop properly on a public holiday FFS?

yep I went to Harbour Town today most shops open except Woolworths and the Rivers outlet the two majors with the doors shut. Rivers had a notes printed on the doors taking shots at the legislation.

With the supermarket closed it was a prime opportunity to get my weekly shop done and out the way but now I am forced to wait until Wednesday to get it done as can't get there on Tuesdays

I went to Bunnings at Mile End yesterday to buy something I wanted, and the place was jumping. Finding a car park was like in the Melbourne CBD.
But the nearby shops at the retail centre had hardly anyone there.
I assume the spring weather has put peoples' focus on to home repairs and gardening.

strange they are shut today.

I still like the 5am/6am opening times for coles/woolies in adelaide as you can do your shopping early with no crowds but the opening days and public holidays down there something is going on who is deciding this?
Queensland coles and woolies open at 8am every day of week and 9am on sat/sun but close at 9pm every night of the week

Queensland shops are open today as normal sunday trading 9am coles woolies open and other shops open at 10am

Woolworths Big Box Hardware stores that make Bunnings look like a minnow are opening this year in Australia, will be interesting to see how they go in Adelaide with the restrictions, they sell Electrical and furniture as well as Hardware!

Funny...went down to Goolwa to have a bite to eat with some friends yesterday.

2pm....looking for lunch. "Sorry the kitchen is closed".

Made my mind up there and then..."Yes...Adelaide is a backwater". What a joke!!

Anywhere else interstate you would get this farce.

We took our business elsewhere who where happy to take our money.
