I had a snitty at the Coopers Alehouse in the city. Biggest snitty I have ever seen.
Are there any bigger around the place?

Must admit the last time I had one there it was crazy big too ... The Tanunda Hotel probably served the biggest Schnitty I've ever eaten (well attempted to)

Are they big snittys, or just 2 tacked together ? The giant snitty at the Mawson Lakes pub is 2 put together.

Yep they are a stupid size. Just around the corner from my office..so when people come over from Melbourne office I often take them to the Leicester for dinner, a dinner with a challenge. Only one of these interstaters has ever finished a Leicester schnitty so far. He was happy at the time but not the next day. Most others have been terrified. Do they grow chickens that big in SA? :D

Moosehead Tavern in Swanston Street (Just of Lygon). Crows cheersquad used to go there after each game before we left to get the bus back to Adelaide.

Their snittys came out on platters (the big silver ones) and still hung over the sides. Your name used to go up in lights if you could finish one!

Was a good pub too, decked out in Rocky and Bullwinkle paraphanalia, I don't think it's open anymore though.

I'm surprised Schnitzel Man hasn't posted on this thread yet. He is the man when it comes to Schnitta's. Where are you Chuck Norris????

The best two I have come across were the Earl of Leicester and the Ale house. When working in Adelaide, a guy I worked with kept a spreadsheet, where he rated about 50+ schnittas on various criteria (size, presentation, flavour, value etc) but i cant recall the results. He was a fanatic!

The biggest I've had was at the Crown at Victor Harbor recently.
Admittedly it was actually three schnitzels together, but for about $23 you can't go wrong.
Had three different toppings too.

Best schnitta I've ever had was at the Overland Corner pub.
Bloody monster of a thing and great parmy topping too.

Paringa Pub do a mean pepper gravy for theirs.

Not only were they the biggest, but the best. Best in the world with EASE!

Bulls Bollox - get in me.

However, didn't the chef from the Lessy move to the Coopers Ale house about 4 years back? I'd heard that the standard at the Earl had dropped since his departure, but this is also the reason for the monsters at the CAH nowdays?

some guys I know used to do that years ago
would rate the pub on a number of things
they use to keep it all and compare pubs, was gold!

A bunch of guys a while back visited every pub in the greater Melbourne area, ordered the chicken parmy, and wrote a book about it. Rated on all sorts of factors with great detail. Funny stuff. Just tried to google the link but failed dismally.

And mine was at the Earl as well. About 4 years ago, it was genuinely massive. Finished it just for the sake of it, the last third was struggle street.
