Not likely ... not birthday time, Fathers' Day or New Years Eve, although the full moon may help.

About time Daylight Saving ended - I enjoy it for Dec, Jan & Feb but I don't see the need for Nov & March - the mornings are just too dark & cold and the evenings aren't that hot & sunny to really bother doing anything much outside.

Think alot of people feel that way RD, i have made a bit of an effort to get out and try to ride about 10-15 KM a night after dinner thanks to daylight saving, as it has gotten closer to the end the amount of people out and about in the area that i ride has dropped off to almost no-one compared to what it was in January & February when we had that burst of very hot weather.

I hate it but if we are to have it I agree with what rd says, Id actually prefer a compromise where we have a permanent half hour all year round and have exactly the same time as Qld for the entire year and the same as other Eastern states for 6 months.
I've recently been going to work at 6.30 am with no trace of daylight in th Eastern sky, would hate to think what it's like at Ceduna.

I personally prefer to be going to work in the dark rather than going home in the dark. The more daylight saving the better.

I'm glad to see the end of it!
I've never been good at getting up before it has been light for an hour or so.
Most of my career I worked 10 am till 6 pm, even without b....y daylight saving.
[It wouldn't be quite so bad if we started from zone time instead of Warrnambool time...]

This is why I'm glad we voted it out here in WA, getting up for work in the morning when it's dead dark was horrific enough during winter, you're not supposed to be bleary eyed 365 days a year.
But of course if you're against it, you're a backward hick who only hates it because of the cows or some bullshit.

You've got dark coloured curtains I assume?

Used to have but the sun faded them during the three year DLS trial.

Agree it goes too long into autumn. Go from daylight savings to virtually winter within a fortnight.
Should start about three weeks after September equinox, and end three weeks before the March one.

Why not just keep it.

It's a pain changing all the clocks at home & work.
