Big W TVs...

Has anyone on here bought a plasma or LCD from Big W??? If you have, what is your opinion of it??

Bought a Sanyo for Nanna and got it for $568. Just as good as any other telly on the market.

I say go for it...

I just put on layby today two full HD LCDs. A 32" and a 37" AWA 1080p LCDs. The 32" was on special...Easter Saturday (today) only.

Bought an LCD last year.

It's been rumoured for a while that the electronics inside the AWAs and Sanyos that Big W sell are just superceded brand name components.

I bought an Awa dvd player and it was all sony inside

My Samsung LCDs shit itself only 2 years after i bought it...so if an AWA lasts longer than that id go for it. Dont know if the picture quality would be as good, but id rather worse picture than no picture.

The display model of the 32" AWA LCD I bought was next to a 32" Sony Bravia LCD that retails for twice the price and I stood there for 5 minutes comparing them (while the same DVD was playing on both) and I couldn't see a difference in picture quality between them!

And the AWAs come with 3 year warranty compared with a 1 year warranty for just about every other brand.

If you're happy with the deal you got then that's all that matters.

Good to see that flat screen TVs have finally come down to reasonably sane levels now.
