2009- What has it brought you?

I have been thinking about what a good year, 2009, has been for me personally.

I got married, welcomed children 2 and 3 into the world and won my first "A" grade cricket premiership with the Western Youth Centre Cricket Club and Westies didn't finish bottom.

2009 is a year i will remember for many different reasons.

What have others got out of 2009 good or bad?

Congrats CP on No.2

I also should add, as your post reminded me, that we built a house and finally got into it this year.

LOL!
Congrats CP :D

2009 the year that (nearly) was.
I haven't pondered this yet.... hmmm... so let's see....

2009 was a pretty good year for me - I can't think of too many negatives at all - which is good - I've had enough years that had way too many negatives !

This year has flown by.

Some of the things that happened....

Highlights:
Become an SAfooty.net Moderator.
Won $1300 on a Keno ticket.
Won junior club person of the year at our footyclub.
Our B grade team won the premiership.
Eldest son won his grade B&F
Youngest son achieving very well/high level in his chosen sport.
A daughter getting her drivers licence :-ss
Met Jimmy_041

Low-lights:
Turned 40
Work load increased (although this is a good thing too...lol..more money!)
Put on weight :(

Other events:
Moved house

Might have to add to this as things 'come' to me O:)

Congratulations CP!

2009 brought our second boy into the world - now almost 11 months

With 2 under 2 for most of the year the rest of 2009 has been a bit of a blur :D

Well done CP !!!

2009 was a bit of an anti-climax for me after a big 2008 (birth of 3rd daughter, new house, footy premiership).

Things that happened this year - Daughter no. 2 started and finished kindy (OMG that went quick!), my place of employment got taken over by a larger company (not really a good thing, at this stage), and i quit coaching footy after 4 years.

Oh, and A Mum, i also met Jimmy 041 - but it was a lowlight for me !

Edit - i nearly forgot, my 10 year wedding anniversary was this year too ! (definately a highlight :D )

Highlights -

My job taking me to New Zealand, Perth, Darwin, Melbourne. Melbourne the only one of those I
have been to on my own steam.
Junior Boon finishing Primary School ( shite I feel old when I say that, but I 'aint! )
10 year wedding Anniversary ( ) Spent in top notch room at The Grand, very nice.
Retiring, happily, from cricket.
Finishing my project car ( 1968 XT Falcon ) after nearly 3 years
My job becoming more satisfying, relaxing and rewarding. $$$ + new car
Family all being fit and healthy
Wife working her way into well paid job
Little Miss Boon always making the place interesting
Buying a new house and keeping our other one as an investment property - entering the property 'portfolio' game

Lowlights-

Not many to be honest.
The Power / Magpies predicament
Not being able to take family to above mentioned destinations with work.

All in all 2009 has been a really good year for the Boon's in general.

I have a reference from my GP to a urologist for this purpose. It is currently pinned to the fridge with a magnet. Reading comments like the above does nothing to motivate me to go through with it...

If your Uroligist is out at North Adelaide, good luck!
On the upside, the missus treated me like gold for a week.

Get it done, well worth the effort.Best part is Mrs.Boon no longer has to take hormone-changing baby bullets which cause who knows what sort of damage. * Insert Psyber link to medical journal here*

I did have some discomfort for a few days, but nothing more than that. Ask for a gereral anaesthetic, not just a local or an amnaesiac.

When returning samples for results in sperm count I had the people in the Doctors Surgery calling me a stallion, 9 months after the procedure I was still "active" , most people are clear in 3-4 months at most. It's not like I wasn't putting in the effort either.

Get a bloke that has done plenty, not a hospital chop job. Cost me $100 with Medicare only, got a specialist that had done over 2000 of them. And get a local, not general. They have to take it easy then!

Then, get the whisky and codeine ready, and spend a couple of days on the couch...just be sure to let the kids know not to run in to the room and jump on you...owwwww...

I know how you feel Hondo. the last 10 weeks of having 3 under 18 months has been fun to say the least.
