Better than European Fisty - It is a convertible and you can sit next to the esky and drink as much as you want

There is a tricky right hand turn you need to make across Hwy 1, 500 m past Shell Augusta West... ;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Jimmy Rule No 1: Long bloody way to A Springs
Jimmy Rule No 2: Next time I consider the drive - refer Rule No 1

Its like a turkey shoot in the dark - sheep, cattle, kangaroos and a frigging camel.......

Which one do I want to cut a steak off for dinner after I try to kill myself

One very funny moment:

There are signs with Beware and this one had a picture of a cow and a sheep - there were 2 sheep huddling under the sign trying to get out of the rain....they must have kicked the cow out of the space

THe last time I drove to Alice Springs, in 1990, I was a young 18 year old doing the long trip for the 1st time and getting the lecture from the old man about wild life etc.
I left Morphett Vale at about 1.00am and arrived in the Alice at 9.30 that night ( a blow out before Erldunda and an ex girlfriend who went 70kms past a turnoff) .
Did the trip in 15 hours on return, and not once did I come across any active wildlife on the highway in either direction.
I only saw 1 dead roo on the road the entire trip too, which I managed to run over.
Those cattle grids I remember all too fondly as well  all 765 of them !

Having lived at Ayers Rock for 3 plus years have done the Alice Springs to Adelaide trip many, many times.

You bring back memories speaking of the kangaroos and especially the cows Jimmy !! :D

Got to love those cattle grids too !!
