I can't comment on the tyres themselves as I haven't used any of those brands on a 4WD myself.
But watch the pricing here in Adelaide...

I was after five 235/70 R15 Pirelli ATR tyres for my old Musso.
I was quoted $250 each by two Bob Jane outlets here, and more from another source.
So, I rang the Bob Jane franchise in Ferntree Gully [Melbourne] - $215 each.
The info enabled me to bargain the locals down to $225 each.

I have the same issue with printing for some business cards.
The SNAP franchise in Melbourne was 2/3 the price of the SNAP outlet I went to in Adelaide, postage included.
[Even with the original artwork transferable between franchisees by email.]

sorry to point this out but it's actually spelt TYRES in this country... In Australia, to tire is to feel tired. i am beginning to really hate the american spelling that is creeping into our everyday language... what next spelling colour - color or using z's instead of s's.... i know i'm precious, but that's just me.
RIP my DH 1964 - 2009 - You were one of the best and I miss you

I've got a mate that has a $40,000+ 4WD, he does a lot of off-road driving and he swears by the joint on Grand Junction Rd near Wingfield for his tyres, price and quality.

I'm with you on US spelling Lunchie - I'd obviously just connected IF's spelling in my head.
The fact that most software - office packages, browsers, email programmes - automatically install US spelling is a nuisance.
And "English-AU" is so Sydney/Macquarie based it uses US spelling a lot too.

I now download the International version of the Opera browser, and Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird from Mozilla Europe, to get English-GB.
Open Office offers English-GB, but it has to be downloaded as an add on.

Ditto on the Yank spelling, can't stand it.

G'day I.F.
Before our last adventure in the Landcruiser Troop Carrier I bought an extra wheel from the
wreckers so we had 6 in total. I'm too bloody lazy to get involved with repairing punctures
in 40C+ desert temperatures while covered in sweat, dirt, flies, 'biteys' and whinging family.
Grand Prix drivers don't stop, get out, and fiddle with tyres and tubes, so nor do I.
Dead wheel off, fresh wheel on, back on track, back on holiday. Pay a professional to fix
the problem, in a fraction of the time, when you get to civilisation. Why waste holiday time ?

Of the 2 spares, one stayed in the usual spot, on the back door, the other cable locked on
the roof rack. After much research and shopping around I had all six split rims fitted with
Coopers AT tyres from:
Wise Choice Tyre Service. 4 Aldershot Rd, Lonsdale, SA 5160 Ph (08) 83261335.
Very impressive on road & off, didn't get one puncture in the long, long, life of the tyres.
Service and price from this mob is good too. Absolutely no complaints. I still go there for
high performance tyres for my latest vehicle, a Holden V8.

The current treads are wearing down now, so I'll limp through summer, then I'll be going back
to Wise Choice for a new set of 'grippers' before it starts raining again.
Whatever you decide on I.F., see if this mob can beat your best price.
Cheers n Beers,
