I agree, it's too bloody hard trying to throw my kids and missus over them high fences.

There was at least one year it wasn't on Australia Day; problems with sponsors I believe.

will there be any family areas set up outside the Clipsal grounds, would love to take my 14 month old daughter and set up for a picnic but don't want to have to pay for a clipsal ticket when she might scream after the first minute.

They are offering free entry to the Clipsal Site after 6.30pm

Think I saw somewhere that there is a limit of 150K people within the track area....would have been a stack more people than that at the last one in Bonython Pk...so will be interesting where everyone goes to watch.

I will be heading along and taking the kids. I was thinking about going in to the parklands along greenhill road. Will they be open?

That's a pretty good idea. Any car parks in particular come to mind?

I agree. Hopefully having it at Clipsal is a one off due and it's back at Bonython Park on Australia Day next year.

Yep 1997 (my first Skyshow) - wasn't going to happen then Bunnings stepped in at the last minute and it was held in mid-February. Pretty much every year after that you heard rumours that it wasn't going ahead due to no sponsors. I guess they used that line one too many times in 2007.

We've viewed it from various locations over the years.

A couple I remember:
Windy point - O'Halloran Hill lookout (if that's what it's called) - Top of Flinders Uni

This year we are going into town - mayhem and all O:)

They stopped having it on Australia Day due to the Australia Day cricket and moved it to the weekend closest to Australia Day. I'd rather have it at Bonython.
