Butters: Well, thanks for offering to let me in your clique, guys, but, to be honest, I'd rather be a crying little pussy than a faggy Goth kid.

That is so cool. I'd love to have teenage daughters like that. Better than the peroxide blonde orange people who get around in dresses that are three sizes too small for them and haven't eaten a decent meal since they reached puberty.

Was South Park ever funny? Or is it only the past few series that have been complete shit?

That's what I said...

Apparently though that's a very expensive dress by some Italian designer (according to the fashion guru chick in the office next to me...)

I've always found South Park amusing in its rather wry way.
I particularly liked the episode when everybody in town went ecological and bought a Toyota "Pious" and "Smug" clouds threatened the environment...

Modern "Goths" are a pathetic insult to the real thing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goths
This article alludes to the conjecture they may have been another lot of Scandinavians off doing a spot of "Viking", like there fellow Angles, and Jutes from the same region - "Viking" being an activity not a people.

Not the most extreme examples of goths...in fact I'd say they don't look very 'goth' at all apart from a bit of black eye make-up and those boots they just look like they're both wearing badly fitting dresses :?

Ah well if it makes them feel rebelious then all power to them  Must admit although as a teen I loved most things 'gothic' I never took to the whole morbid 'goth', all in black thing...and I don't care what Wiki says they were around in the 70's too...just don't remember them having a label then.

Regards
JAS

The all black thing had a vogue in the 1960s too when I was in my teens - but then it was more "bogan bikie" than 20th century "Goth".
About age 10, I was into another form of "Gothic" - one of my Aunts had everything ever written by Edgar Allan Poe, and other writers of the era.

Nope.
Folks met in the Salvos though, thought they'd more or less dropped out by the time I was born. ;)
