Love the Ones you're with

Postby Lunchcutter » Sat Sep 26, 2009 2:00 am

This week my husband of 11 years Joe died at home of a massive heart attack. At 45 years old it was much to soon to go but I have comfort in the knowledge that the time we had together - (you know the ups and downs of parents/friends passing, job stuff and the like that us couples go through) and the deep love we shared including that mutual respect we had for each other was something special. I wouldn't normally post a message like this one on a forum- some may even find it inappropriate but I felt the need to share, and I've been hanging around this board for about 5 years now so in some weird kinda way feel like I "know" some of you guys through your postings. i know it's always said but honestly, in this life dont sweat the small stuff. the material stuff in life is not important, i know some poor folk in money that are way richer in life than people who seemingly have "everything" it's honestly not worth it.. you never know when it may be yours or a loved ones time so make sure you make the most of every day. I'm devasted but I know I'll get through - I have too. and I really believe that my dh ( :) ) will help me in spirit.. no need for replies to my post.. as i said, just that I needed to share thanks lc
RIP my DH 1964 - 2009 - You were one of the best and I miss you

I know something of how you feel LC, having lost my wife last October.
The sense of devastation settles with time, but no matter what you do from there on, little things bring back the sense of loss from time to time.
But gradually you find yourself remembering the good times more than the loss.
Thinking of you...

sorry to hear LC, I can't imagine what you're going through.

I nearly lost my GF in a car accident earlier this year- she survived a broken neck & leg, but I don't know how I would've coped if she wasn't so luvky...
