There are websites that do picture resizing for free for avatars. Don't know about gifs though, would imagine FC gets them from avatar websites??

I've used it a few times and it's helped out each time.

Agreed. Although there is another poster going round with a similar animated avatar to Blacky's - not quite as good, but up there. Poster's username is Davey Carlson - check it out. Maybe he can post on this thread to raise awareness!

Oh, I've seen it. Just thought Blacky's really had an edge to it.
