should a publically available web site have to disclose all income and expenses
I am thinking of starting a discussion board
No not football
If i get plenty of readers and posters after a few years would i have a duty of care to disclose this to the users of the discussion board
What about tax etc
Lets say i make more then enough funds to cover all costs and then some so that the site actually turns of a healthy profit with income from sponsored links etc
Would i have to disclose that to the tax office

Wouldn't think so.
What business has to do this?
Not publically owned, so no reason to.

Don't have to disclose it to users mate but definately have to disclose it to the ATO if you start making enough.
I'd recommend seeing a lawyer about it, if not when you start the business when you start making some cash.

I recommend Harradine and Norris Green, a great sponsor of SAfooty who has good feedback from all or Phil Louner who helped me out when I started my web based ventures! :D
