HOW HEALTHY SANGAS ARE KILLING US
I have edited the article
FANCY a dose of salt and fat with your sandwich ?
Some sangas contain as much salt as 6 packets of crisps and more saturated fat than a big mac.
....
Just beacuse you buy a sandwich it dosent necessarily mean it is better than junk food
....
The review of menus at Subway and other similar outlets found some products had startling amounts of salt and bad saturated fat, responsible for building up Cholesterol.
One of the worst was a satay chicken wrap with a whoppering 1840mg of Soduim
It also has 11.5g of saturated fat, more than the 9.7g in a big mac
...
Salami and Pepperoni lovers tucking into a subway spicy Italian 6 inch sub are getting 1580mg of soduim, the amount in more than 5 packets of potato chips, plus 11.2 g of saturated fat
SUMMARY
BREAD , I would prefer Delis that would mostly buy breads form Bakerys
The breads used by the Junker franchises can be premade and usually have more ingredients
What we put in sandwiches is also a concern
And hmmnnnn Subway is being compared to Maccas in that article
Food for thought ....
Be your own judge
