well like a lot of people i'm addicted to it but i am wondering if anyone else thinks the same as me & that is that if you buy it out of a plastic container/bottle (2 & 3 litres) it tastes slightly different from the carton you'd get at a deli, servo etc

Unfortunately I am an FU Iced Coffee addict - however they are slowly pricing themselves out of my market... I'm not joking here, went to the Mobil Servo last night and a 600ml fuic had increased to $3.50!!!!
i may be addicted but they can get stuffed if they reckon their liquid gold is worth $6.80 a litre ..... greedy bastards... noticed today even at Woolies the 600 miller is priced at $2.95... looks like its Farmers Union Iced Coffee as a treat now and more on topic... yep i believe it tastes different out of the 600ml carton.

I too love my farmers union iced coffee. Absolutely sensational!!

I must agree that it does taste different out of the plastic compared to the carton. However, I must rate the carton slightly higher in regards to taste.

The price is getting pretty steep, but if stumble across a special you're laughing. Last night I picked up 2 1Lt cartons for $5 and if you head to a Liberty or United petrol station, im pretty sure they still run the 2 600mls for $4.50.

farmers union is getting very expensive in most servo's these days and as SPECKY mentioned you can still get the 2 for $4.50 or even a fraction less but its becoming harder and harder to find!!!

anyway you're better off getting the 2-3l container!

I used to drink the "Light" version of it- but even that's a charade, as it's not so much the fat content, but the carbohydrate & sugar content that is the waist-line expander!

So to Iced Coffee in general-

*I have lost 7cm off my waist-line due to eliminating things like this, but I have also been excercising

I buy my Iced Coffee (regulartory 600ml carton) from Hassans on 4th Avenue at Klemzig for $2.10. I have seen Mobil charge $4.00 for the same.

I wish I could ween myself off it but I dont smoke anymore so I have to have 1 treat left

Im the same Punky, i used to drink plenty of it until i wised up to the carbs it had in it. I seriously love the stuff, but have not had any since Xmas. (And have lost 6kgs since then )

I lived in Klemzig with 2 sisters for 9 months (yes, insert an * in there somewhere... ), & we all went down there regularly for whatever we needed (add another *)

after the kid popped out 9 months after you moved in, you moved out!!!!!!!!!!

I take it in the tradition of the GFC, you guys are keeping things "in-house"?

It's a Farmer's Union Iced Coffee, or it's nothing.
And if it isn't out of a carton (600ml) it's un-Australian.
If it is "LIGHT" or "STRONG" it is un-Australian.

I am an Farmers Union "coholic" and it's been 33 days since my last drink. The guys at work say I will put Farmers Union out of business.

The stuff is bloody addictive isnt it!!

I had one virtually every day for about 12 years, but then became concerned about the fat content so now i'm on the Light or if thats not sold i buy the "Feel Good". Not the same as the Normal Iced Coffee but almost. And would certainly not drink it out of a plastic container either.

GWW- it's the sugar/carbs, not the fat content that's the one to watch...
