Cadbury, what have they done?

Cadbury are reducing the size of a Family block of chocolate from 250gms back to 220gms, packing it a thin cardboard outer cover and it's still to be priced as if it were the larger size.
Pr^cks, they must think we're all silly, boycott the Cadbury chocolate range and buy Nestle, that's what I say!

If you agree, then follow me!

Sorry pal, just found out and have got the sh^ts on with them, I'm a Nestle man from here on in! They can shove their chocolate, their gorillas playing drums and every other musical instrument up their collective chocolate aniseed rings!

Whew, glad I got that off my mind before going to bed, may not have slept very well!

Sorry Mum, you know what they say, "it's no good being up to date when you can be a month behind and still get the same news"

Foodland at Fulham are selling the "big blocks" cheaper then the little blocks to get rid of stock.

I should boycott it out of principle, but I really do love Cadbury chocolate (a shitload more than Nestle) and trying to kick it will hurt. Big W sell big 400g blocks for $4.50 or something, but I'll try not to buy any from now on.

If you are going to start boycotting products that have "downsized" you will never buy another packaged product again.
Other major products that have downsized recently

- Cadbury chocolate bars
- Cadbury/Nestle and Mars sharepacks
- Kelloggs cereals (twice in the last three or four years)
- Uncle Toby Museli bars
- Majority of Fruit box style drinks
- Sorbent tissues
- Yoplait yoghurt
- And of course the "stubby stubby" used by many brewers

Could go on forever ;)

I'm off to a good start...
I never buy any of those except Sorbent hypoallergenic tissues and loo paper.
I do buy Uncle Toby's Oats, and the occasional [imported usually] stubby 6-pack.
[3 of rhe 6-pack of Peroni I bought three weeks ago are still in the fridge - I don't drink much beer in colder weather.]

Note that Cascade brought back the 375 mL bottle 'coz their sales plunged after they downsized the bottles.

(Allegedly. I still haven't seen a 375 mL Cascade in the local bottlo...)

The local may have bought up big on the small ones, or if both exist have stocked the most profitable one in preference...
I vaguely recall getting a 375ml Cascade while out somewhere recently, but can't recall where.
Last weekend at the Gold Coast I stuck with XXXX.

Yecch, it's gonna taste like the British Cadbury's which is more like soap. Right, that's it. Cadbury's are off the menu.
Hang on, who makes Bertie Beetles?

Wasn't there a brewer that recently got done by the ACCC for downsizing from 375 to 330 but still charging the same price?
Was there some other circumstance that caused a grievance with the ACCC?
