I thought since most of us are in a heat wave we should have some tips how to keep cool and can be if you are in the hot sun

Apparently (according to a doc on 5aa the other night) very cold drinks will actually make you feel hotter...something to do with them making you body think your inner core is cooling and it then tries to warm it up again which makes you feel hotter. So it looks like the old wives tale about a hot drink being better in hot weather is true.

...and if you can't get or run out of water don't panic...almost everything you eat and drink will help hydrate you...you body will extract fluids from everything...yes even booze if you must.

JAS

Big Tip- Copenhagen is currently 0 degrees. Go on holidays.

Cold shower b4 bed.

Hope that your suburb doesn't cop a rolling blackout from ETSA and sleep with the A/C on through the night...

Was just outside having a smoke and suprisingly it has cooled down a bit...

At least it feels like it I guess. Probably gone from 40 to 35 so it feels cooler with a gentle breeze blowing...

Here's a good tip the missus taught me when she was living at a little flat in Gepps Cross with no A/C...

Get your partner to stand at the foot of the bed with the other person lying in bed. The person at the foot grabs the quilt or sheet and proceeds to "wave it" up and down so the air circulates back and forth up the bed. It works a treat for as long as the person "waving" wants to do it. Then be kind and return the favour for the opposite person.

Move to London. Next week it's apparently going to be the coldest it's been in 13 years and if that's not cold enough for you, then try living here with no hot water. Which is what I have been doing for the past 2 weeks. I would do anything to feel hot right now!

I'm not sure how four of these are supposed to cool you down. Maybe she's not pure.
