How could you do that? Seriously it makes me sick just thinking about it. Problem is even if they catch the guy he will never get what he deserves.

That is terrible. How anyone could do that to a child is beyond me.

TV news just said they have arrested the childs father.
He had two other children in the car with him a 6 year old and an 8 year old
(The little girl is 4 years old, although I've read several reports that say she is aged 4, 5 & 6)

It says he was arrested outside the Federal Courts - custody/divorce hearing ?

I must say what a wonderful job those that treated the girl at the scene must have done. I can't even begin to imagine the extent of the injuries and how traumatic it must have been for them. To get the girl to hospital alive and with a chance to survive is a credit to them. Lets all hope the little girl pulls through and that the father gets what is coming to him.

Agreed RR it would be hard to imagine the state that the paramedics would've found the girl in and for them to still perform their job is a great effort and one i am sure they will never forget , for all the wrong reasons. They have given her a chance so lets hope she can pull through.

My heart goes out to the other kids who witnessed it and the rest of the family.

I know it sounds macabre and doesn't lessen the horror of this incident but maybe it is for the best that the poor kid didn't survive.

I know I'll be giving my kids an extra hug tonight.

Can somebody just briefly tell me what actually happen, if they are up to it ???

It appears that a guy threw his daughter believed to be about 5 years of age off the west gate bridge this morning. After the paramedics worked on the scene, on her, for approx 50 minutes they got her to hospital and she is there with serious injuries in a critical condition.

I hope they hang the prick from his balls. he deserves to be tortured for doing that to a kid. Bloody disgusting act. As tassie said it was probably best for the poor young girl that she didn't survive.
