-the records start from 22nd of January 1887
-the exact same method of measuring temperature has been used since then
-note the dates - 11 before 1915 and none between 1944 and 2005

The same frequency as the above table shows up here - most before 1915; a few during WW2; and then some since 1991.

When i went to school there was no A/C and we had no heat policy :twisted: It really sucked in the third storey classrooms.

Nup, it's crap, they should, the aircon's they have are useless, might as well throw on the heater.

We had to stay at school, 90% of the students had to travel to and fro by bus, up to 50km, it was too hard too finish up early. I remember going home one day, 1/2 the seats on the bus were 3 to a seat, the bus was old, no AC and it measured 51 deg that afternoon on the school weather station.

So far, the maximum today in Adelaide is 43.2 degrees; a record for the 27th of January. 42.0 degrees was recorded in 1932 and 1943.
