The cheek, asking for a handout!
If you can't sell sex then you are a poor businessman IMO

I umm wouldn't know anything about the fee sites lol ... Or the fact that you can download pretty much any porno ever made.
Point is, even though free porn increased, so did paid for porn and the industries revenue would have grown through the roof since the advent of the Internet.
I'd be surprised if they received any assistance, and I think they would too, but I reckon they've just figured "Oh well, you don't know until you ask".

Heard a bit about all this on yesterday's edition of ABC Radio's PM. Interestingly, one bloke (name escapes me) from the local porn scene made the point that the economic downturn might likely work in favour of his industry; tighter family budgets, less external peripheral spending (restaurants, cinema, etc) and a resultant increase in popularity of "home entertainment".
Mantra Films' (Girls Gone Wild) and Hustler's argument really sounds like a load of w**k, with more holes in it than a box full of dodgy condoms. Still, can't blame Francis and Flynt for trying one on.
"The pair were quick to admit that "the (US porn) industry is in no fear of collapse", but asked: "Why take chances?" "
Aaah, o....kay. What chances? Why the financial pill when the industry can stand erect by itself?
"Francis ..... cited industry figures that show adult DVD sales and rentals decreasing 22 per cent in 2008, as people turn to the internet for adult entertainment."
Yep, and I'll bet he could quote figures on Mantra's internet traffic to prove it.
" "With all this economic misery and people losing all that money, sex is the farthest thing from their mind," Flynt said.
"Flynt said people were "too depressed to be sexually active". "
Sorry Larry. Your economy might be flaccid, it doesn't mean everything else is.
Couldn't blame the average U. S. taxpayer telling these two to star in a porno together and use imaginary cameras.

Apparently there's no such thing as a fluffer (I read that somewhere).
And anyone, there's no such thing as a free lunch (careful if you're offered one on a porn set!)
