I voted XC but wasnt sure if it was the XB or XC, whichever had the 2 door coupe.
I owned an XD and that was the car that swung me from Holden to Ford because it had so much room and a great engine. Was a X pac yellow one.
Now own a EF Falcon Wagon and a BF XR6.
Must admit the BGs look pretty hot but that wasn't an option.

I went for the XB as the XB GT is pretty much my all time favourite Ford, Sure the XY is always going to be the most popular but as much as I am a fan of the Phase 3 Falcons, I still like the shape and style of the XB! - In either case the sound of a 351 Clevland hitting full throttle works for me anyway!

Does anyone know what model was Dick Johnsons first Bathurst car? It was shaped like the XC I think, but Im not sure if it was an XC.

Depsite being a Holden man, back in the 70s Ford had some really nice cars, it wasnt until the 1980 model Falcon that they turned really ugly and have looked worse than Holdens since.

I went for the XM for the same reason, I cant believe no one has voted for the XW or XY, of the 2 the XY was the faster, better GT, but I still think the XW looked a lot better

Probably appropriate, every vote for the ugliest Falcon would be the equivilent to voting for the best looking Commodore.
The AU Falcon is the only thing that would qualify as ugly enough to get a run in the GMH stable. ;)

I've never owned a Ford anything.
I have driven a couple of Falcons as hire cars in 1998 and 2002, and as a result of experiencing the handling have preferred to hire Mitsubishi Lancers instead...

yep- I went the XB.
My first car was a yellow XB falcon- paid $350 for it & blew the motor up returning from cricket at Meningie!
Sold it to the wreckers for $110.
I bought a book on the history of the Falcons, & the XB was the last named GT.
The XC Cobra was a GT in every part but name.

The last "real GT" was about 4 XA GTHO's made before the HO was shelved, th elast "real GT" made in any numbers was the XY, the XB was tame and only a GT by appearance

but the XA & XB Falcons were still GT's- even if only in name.
I believe there was some political correctness gone mad against the GT brand, hence the naming of the XC "GT" as the "Cobra"
