Home grown corn on the spit with some drunken lamb.

Yum, looks good. We had a drunken chicken on the bbq last night, was delicious


How does your home grown corn turn out? I’ve grown it before but it’s alway a bit woody

BB King, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson must be taught in early learning as the basis for what was to follow.

Then Zeppelin, Sabbath, Purple, Priest, Maiden et al can be explained in more detail as they understand the basics taught above.

Once their minds are open The Beatles, Floyd, Rush, The Jam, Jethro Tull, The Who can be sent in, this will allow them to venture sideways at any point moving forward without fear of the unknown.

I'm probably a bit on my own not being a Floyd fan, I like a couple of their songs but never got into the, loved Zeppelin along with Jethro Tull.

Heat beads + charcoal.

I like the beads for consistency in their heat, I like the charcoal for the flavour. So beads around the edge, charcoal in the middle.

No worries, I'm a heat beader for weber's, charcoaler for smoker's and spit's, I find the charcoal easier to ignite when topping up.

I tend to put all my charcoal around the edges too so there's no flare ups from juice dropping on them, the wife found out the hard way a couple of years back to why I devote my attention so diligently while cooking spits, I whizzed around the shop for 15 minutes while she was meant to be watching it and I returned to a towering inferno and the netting had singed, my lamb looked like a 97 year old set of flaps.

My last attempt, two years ago, was the same, not very juicy and a bit woody. This year I've been more diligent on watering ( really soaking them twice a week ) and feeding them some good organic matter once a month as well as mulching. Much better results this time around.

Hear, hear, that's a pretty good rock primer, and reasonable minds will differ on content. Don't forget Howlin' Wolf, though - a great gravelly voice and authored some great blues tunes.

I'd also add anything by the Rolling Stones from 1969-1972, provides a good bridge from the trad US blues material, as would some well chosen Hendrix tunes.

As for the open minds stuff, get some Frank Zappa into 'em. Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat the yellow snow!

I take it Bill Wyman's solo efforts were so deplorable as to warrant no mention....

Rating highly that we have had an offer on a shack/beach house at Goolwa Beach accepted...
