My missus and I go there on a regular basis on a Sunday, we even have a pre booked table lol. We didn't go there the Sunday just gone through. It's a fantastic little restaurant, the only bad thing is the wait for your food because it can get so busy but it is worth the wait. The food is top notch.

What did you have from there Pseudo?

I had just taken the crotchfruit to the Maritime Museum to see the "Gory Stories from the Putrid Past" show. I dragged them to the Pancake joint for lunch afterwards. Being kids they just opted for a short stack each, while I had one with walnuts, syrup and icecream. Very impressed. We walked to the lighthouse and climbed to the top afterwards. All up, a simple but good day out for the kids. The Port ain't a bad place to keep kids happy for a few hours.

I used to work around the corner from the Pancake Kitchen in town (maybe 25 years ago) and used to go there for a short stack after doing a drag shift ... but have no idea what it's like now so can't compare.

There is plenty to do in the Port with kids, if you look for it.

The Hart St Mill ( near the bottom of the Jervois Bridge, opposite Jaffa's ) is growing in popularity as an open air market on Sunday mornings. Not alot there right at the moment other than some food vendors and a couple of entertainers singing ( one is quite good ).

Looks to be growing and by spring/summer might be a good Sunday morning option.

The Hart St Mill might also be used for a "reality" TV series where in a hotel type set up people are confronted with their greatest fears and phobias. Kind of like a "Big Brother scares the shit out of you" type thing. Would breathe some more life into a slowly developing precinct.

I did a ghost tour around the port a couple of weeks back.

I had no idea that the half covered up windows at the bottom of most of the 100 year+ buildings were actually the orginal windows of most establishments and that Pt Adelaide was about 3ft lower back in the day and that they actually raised the the whole "town" because shops and pubs were constantly being flooded from the river

I just thought that cellar windows were the norm back then

Yep, that's the one. Was quite good actually. The flooding problem comes up a fair bit, including in the old police station, without giving anything away, that's a WTF story

At least I didn't get in the shit with the wife this time around, and I presume @Booney didn't fall asleep on the train either...

Funnily enough, the wife thinks @carey is a gentleman.
