For a start, there's no apostrophy in "want".

Grovy in 'Feedback' wrote: What is the role of a Moderator on this site?

Can we please have a list of them, explaining who they are, who they barrack for and perhaps a brief summary of the strengths that each will bring to this board?

This is no more then we would each ask of the Director's of our own Football Clubs, who are also volunteers.

There are suggestions that the site is over moderated towards some teams yet other teams are ignored.

Is that correct?

Was there an election/nomination process when this board was started; and can people nominate themselves or others to help or is it a closed shop?

Have the Moderators ever booted another Moderator or warned them if they cross the line?

I am concerned that there is a perceived "the people vs the Moderators" tone on this board, which isn't healthy.

If the Moderators could explain how they feel the site should be run (and why) then we would all have no grounds to complain.

I brought this here rather than cluttering up the "Feedback" section which I understand will, sensibly, be cleared of anything that is not a straight and serious suggestion to prevent it becoming a 100 page wandering debate.

There have been instances on this site where a moderator has taken an action and then changed it after discussion with other moderators and said so. Early in my time here I had one run in with a moderator [Wedgie] which was satisactorily resolved with good grace between us after a few PMs. They started out a little terse but relaxed as we found the common ground. I am not aware of any ongoing bias issues here, just individual sensitivities and reactions, which are inevitable and a normal part of human interaction.
