My all time favourites
..Football Park is the greatest sporting stadium in the Southern Hemisphere.
..Pilko no no no Pilko mark my words. The Adelaide Crows will not even speak to Wayne Carey. There is no way they will have a man of that character down at West lakes.
.. Michael Taylor will be an AFL head coach and a damn good one.
.. Darel Hart will be a great AFL coach in the near future.
..Mark my words Graham the glory days will be back at Norwood for as long as Macca is coaching.
.. I can sense big things down at Adelaide Oval this year Pilko. The Redbacks will surprise everyone in 06/07 .
..No AFL team will ever repeat what we saw last year . With the draft and salary cap restrictions now in place we will not even see sides play in Consecutive grand finals. Those days are long gone. The Crows flags in 97-98 will be remembered as the last great dynasty of AFL/VFL football?
..Scotty Thompson wil regret what has happened but hey boys will be boys.It is not a particularly serious matter I would not have thought.

Not one of his comments but I think this from Jon Blake's website is pretty funny...the greatest gay icon SA never had
Hope that 'behind closed doors' will still find ways to include KG.

There's no doubt about KG, the King of wishful thinking who turned being wrong into an art form.

KG. You are a SuperStar.

A Bronze Statue alongside of the Don would Surfice.

But my friend, your stuttering was starting to go over the top....

All SA loves you.

I am far from perfect.... But I don't command your monetary reward...

Ah you've got to love the guy...

His comments have seen the phone lines get flooded with people wanting to debate his wishful thinking...it's all part of the set-up.

Dutchy, you forgot to add the "there you are, there you are!" at the end.

After Carey chose Adelaide as his club of choice

...There is no doubt Adelaide will win the flag in 2003 with Wayne Carey at centre half forward.

I didn't hear this when he said it, but David Hookes related this story at a sports night.

Apparently KG & Hookesy were interviewing 36ers captain Mark Davis. KG asked him if he liked living in Adelaide. Davis said it was good, although he doesn't see many "brothers" in Adelaide.

Then KG blurts out, "Yes, that would be hard not being able to see your family".

There was a brief silence, followed by laughter from Davis & Hookes. Good old naive KG :)

And who will ever forget his interview with Percy Fender. Talk about the blind leading the blind. Classic :)

I can't recall what was said as it was a long time ago, but after the Bodyline mini-series was screened on TV, they decided it would be a good idea to contact Percy Fender who was quite a character at the time.

However, it had been over 60 years since Bodyline, and poor old Percy was about 90 years old, and rather senile. He couldn't understand KG, and KG couldn't understand Percy, and it was one of the funniest moments in radio history.

It was similar to the 12th man's link up between Bill Lawry and Peter Pollock :)

Maybe we should contact 5AA and ask if they could play it again.
