Luv the game but would be no chance at a tournament, still haven't mastered the Chip Tricks (I blame the Dream Police ...)

lol.... Chip tricks don't win you the bucks. so i wouldn't worry about that.
i take it from the lack of replies, that no one has played in the weekly skycity tournement???

Skycity have tournaments and the poker zone is open from wednesday through to sundays. I think they have tournaments every night.
not sure as the cost but i think its around the $40 mark.
if you are a beginner they have practice nights as well.
if you are serious about winning in the casino just jump on the roulette wheel.

Yeah i don't mind a bit of roulette....But that really is a gamble. Poker at least has some level of skill to it.
I don't really want to do it for the money, i'd just like to have a go. Practice nights might be good for me then.

roulette is a gamble but its mainly about playing the percentages and the averages.
you really cant go wrong, but nothing is full proof.
i know skycity have some competition going now which is linked to the world poker series that the Joe from melbourne won last year.

My brother's like that Dutchy. When he was living with me he was AWLAYS in his room on a tournament - often hours on end. I used to not download much in that time so I could leave the connection "free"! He won a few tournaments where there were 1000+ entrants. I think he plays on Party Poker too, and others.
