my commodore was stolen when parked on muriel street at prospect while i was watching the north v sturt match today, so this is just a warning to everyone else to be careful & make sure your car is as safe as possible, my car had a clublock on it but that made no difference & as the cop said to me they know you are in the football so they know no one will interupt them & my car has already been used in a robbery today & the likelyhood of tonight as well & eventually be burnt out

SO BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR CARS WHEN PARKING THEM

oh crap.. how did you find out about the robbery? did you see your car on the telly?

PS: VL-VP Commodore? Even I could break into one of those

no, i didn't see it on the tv but i did hear it was on & no need to be sarcastic i was just letting people know to be extra careful & 'alledgedly' it has been happening at both sanfl games & also happened at a amatuer match today

Beejesus BAyman, I feel for you. Given I was at the same game the thoughts running through my head is what if it had been my car as it could so easily have been.

Not that it makes you feel better, I just hope the little bastards get it in the end....hopefully when they get to the big house they get it in the end....

Bad luck mate. That's a very ordinary thing.

Geez that's awful...but it is just metal, rubber and some other stuff...can be replaced (sorry all you petrolheads)...at least you and little bayman were nowhere near when it happened.

thanks jas & co, it doesn't really worry me it annoys me more than anything & i only posted this to warn others that it has happened & not only to me it has happened every week so far this year & it also happened at a amateur game today, i found this out when visiting the cop shop, i'll claim insurance & then get another car although i'm not happy about missing out on a game of footy

Gee, I was planning to drive to the State Library tomorrow but I've been put off now, so it's public transport for me. My thoughts echo those that have posted, bayman.

also how many people have had cars damaged, broken into at not only SANFL footy games but AwFL games at aami stadium????

Before I opened this thread I thought 'Bet it's a Commodore'. Why are these things so apparently easy to steal and what have Holden done about it? Every morning I wake to ram raids / police chases in a 'stolen white Commodore.'

I do feel for you though mate. I'm still getting over having our SS Torana stolen from a train station in the mid 90s, never saw it again

My VL Commodore was stolen once and broken into again (but foiled by my 'kill' switch) in the early 90s

After trading up to a VR I never had any trouble I think it was that model (mid 90s) that they sorted the security problems - my current car has had no dramas either (not a commodore)

As FC said, after seeing how easy it was I reckon even I could have stolen one of them and I am hopeless at car stuff!

Terrible news mate.

We had the missus' Laser stolen once (from Colonnades) and it got used in a robbery so least it gained some noteriety.

Gotta be careful at Prospect as its pretty common practise for the criminal element to float down to the better suburbs to ply their trade. Only SANFL ground I park on the roads (through no choice) is Norwood but am always wary there.
