BST (British Summer Time) starts here on Sunday so my clocks go forward an hour. I assume that means that you guys in Adelaide will be putting your clocks back an hour for winter soon. Can you tell me when ??? Need to make sure I know when to set the alarm clock for the new season  :D

Jas do you know if the US has just gone to daylight savings? NBA/NCAA games seem to be starting an hour earlier than normal the past fortnight...

Sorry Dutchy couldn't say for sure I'm afraid but I think they changed at the start of March. Our televised baseball doesn't start til Sunday/Monday so haven't taken much notice of US times. Best person to ask would be Jimmy...hopefully he might be online later and clarify :D

already told work that i may be a little late in on friday and that, depending on the result, it will be either happy jimmy or so upset i-want-to-kick-the-dunny-door-in Jimmy ;)

It was originally due to be this weekend, we had always finished the last weekend in March, NSW & Vic were finishing on te 6th of April so our Govt. decided to fall in line with them.

Yeah, a few weeks ago it started over there. All NBA games start an hour earlier as you said.

Wish I was and wish I could mate  I'd be pretty wealthy by now  What I can predict is that no matter what happens I'll still be barracking for them and I'm fairly certain you will too :D

Looks like the global confusion over Australia's DST has hit me too...I downloaded one of those Yahoo widget thingys so i could have 3 mini clocks on the screen showing UK, Adelaide and New York times. Makes working out timezones easier now the foooty and baseball have started and I'll add China when the Olympics begins...or that's what I thought  Adelaide clock is now an hour behind  seems to have changed over a week early.

JAS, did you know there is only one time zone in China, no matter where you are, Tibet or Shanghai. The Chinese goverment decided that China was one country and therefore one time zone.

BTW It is 8 hours ahead, 7 after BST

Cheers for that John :D Thought it further East and was going to be more than 7  Much prefer to see the games live than highlights so I was even considering turning my life into one long night shift (cos I can  ) just be some early starts instead then.

Did you know that if some in the DIY superstore in Edinburgh get their way there will be 2 timezones here (kind of)...some MSP's want to dump daylight savings for Scotland or keep it going all year or something.

How about people's computers/laptops? Mine hasn't changed yet and it automatically adjusts the time for daylight saving.

I think Microsoft have released updates that correct the time that their OS updates the clocks, it's my damn phone that's giving me the tom tits at the minute - I fix the clock and then when I synchronise with my work calendar it changes to what the phone thinks is the correct time (which is actually 1 hour out!). My alarm went off at 4am instead of 5am this morning because of that. I was up and showered before I realised the problem.

So, for us who like to watch EPL, what will this mean for matches after this weekend?

Will they start an hour earlier, or an hour later, or as we're going to winter time and them to summer, does it stay the same????? Oh dear, I'm confused.
