Baby names

Postby Dogwatcher » Thu Feb 28, 2008 10:03 pm

I have a bit of a project to find a baby name at the moment.

We're settled on a name if we have a girl, but can't figure a boy's name.

My wife suggested I go through my CD collection to find one. Here's some I came up with:

Carter
Fruitbat
Nick
Billy
East Bay Ray
Jello
Zac
Tex
Cash
Warhol
Adrock
MCA
Liam
Bowie
Hester
Bragg
Wilco
Richie
Johan
Bach
Flavour
Chuck D
E
Hieronymous

After suggesting all of those, I got many 'no' responses. Funny that eh?

Anyone got any ideas (serious or otherwise)?

Considering we have one coming, and have picked it, go with a good strong one syllable name. I reckon they stand the test of time. (this from a person with multiple syllables)

Roger, interesting you say that, as I've turned my two syllable name into a singular.
A very good point.

You probably don't need telling but I'd say think very carefully about the ways a name can be shortened and what the initials might spell or be close to spelling...now't so cruel as kids  edit* and FC
