A Few Changes to www.safooty.net

Postby Wedgie » Wed Mar 01, 2006 6:44 pm

Most have probably noticed but I just thought I'd give a quick rundown of some changes I've made to the forum.

1) Slight change in style, you'll notice unread posts everywhere in red now
2) Added a "Quick Reply" function but you still have the option of replying in normal mode
3) Ive changed the links at the top of the page, you'll notice a "2006 SANFL Info", "Preferred Links" and "SANFL Club Forums" now up there.
If you put your cursor over any of those 3 you'll be offered more link choices than before. The "SANFL Club Forms" is a direct link to every SANFL Fan Forum for each club.
I'd be keen on the people who run the Central, Glenelg, Port, Sturt and Eagles forums to arrange a link back to SAFooty similar to what is done on the North, Norwoodm, West and South forums (as well as Footysa and Legends of SANFL) as return link courtesy. If any of those people aren't sure how to do it, its very simple and I could send you the code to do it and it would be merely a simple replace the online file with the one I give you.

There's also a few other tiny improvements that you may or may not notice, the speed of pages loading up may improve also.

Enjoy!

Thanks Wedgie - it does seem faster. Not a big fan of the red personally though :)

Yeah I might change that back, I thought a bit more contrast to the blue would be good and its OK for me as there'll only ever be a few posts in red but others that come on here weekly will see almost every topic in red, thanks for the feedback.

The red is harsh.I must agree.
