What's your Bucket List ?

Postby JAS » Fri Feb 15, 2008 1:22 am

Saw an ad for the new film Bucket List. Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman do a runner from hospital and do all the things they want to do before they kick the bucket. So what would be on your bucket list. As many or as few as you like but keep it real and within the realms of scientific possibility...in other words if you weigh 300kilos you ain't going up in the shuttle...not alive anyway

1. :-#
2. To see a Redlegs game at Coopers.
3. For the ones I love to forgive me my mistakes the same way that I've always forgiven them.
4. To go to a baseball game (preferably Cardinals)
5. To see Ladysmith Black Mambazo in concert...preferably openair in a good climate.
6. See the Southern Lights...saw the Northern Lights in the Arctic so it would complete the set.
7. To be served breakfast or lunch or dinner or all three in bed ie not having to get up and make it myself.
8. To see penguins in the wild...2xtours (8 months total) in the Falklands and never saw one due to time of year  or maybe see polar bears instead.
9. To watch a meteor shower...seen luna and solar eclipse and a comet so would complete the set.
10. Drink Singapore Slings and take afternoon tea at Raffles...got to have something ridiculously indulgent and expensive.

Thats it for me...been amazingly lucky enough to do all the other stuff I wanted to do.

Regards
JAS

I was wondering if the film that is the subject of this discussion was any good? I like Morgan Freeman and Nicholson. Saw the previews when at the cinema last Saturday and just wondering if it comes up to par??

As for a pie at a venue in Melbourne, which I'm presuming you're asking, they vary between $4 and $4.50, depending on the venue. Bring your food with you in that case.

JAS I'm happy to say I've done two of your bucket listers!

Baseball at Yankie Stadium, Yankees V Twins.
High tea at Raffles in Singapore along with said Singapore Sling. Not being a spirits drinker, it was tough going.

My top bucket thing was to fly Concorde  .

- So it's been downgraded to fly supersonic (break the speed of sound).
- Go into space.

I like strawb's marriage one so:
- Be married for 50 years to Mr MK.
