Does, anyone get pissed off when called "champ". I can handle it when its from an older bloke eg 50 plus( i'm 24) , but when it's some 20 year old bogan calling me it i feel that he is talking down to me ie. "how ya going champ, cheers champ"

All depends on how they say it

I used to deal with a client who called everyone champ. Used to piss me off no end.
One day he got me in a good mood, called me champ, I called him champ back in return.
The phone went silent, and I'm there going hey champ, champ where are ya ?
He came back on and asked me not to call him that !
He didn't call me champ again....

ha ha, Im good mates with a retail employee who calls all his customer's champ, it works both ways.
I personally can't see why someone would get insulted by being called champ or mate but I do come across the occasional person that does, needless to say everyone that has been offended and had a go at me has been a total tosspot.
