Costs...
Greenhills
The Beach House
Movies
Send them away on a summer camp

Doesn't cost...
Botanic gardens
Museum
Art Gallery
State Library
Linear park (bike rides, stop and feed the ducks on the way!)
Start a project together... Plant a vegie garden, whatever...

That's off the top of my head. In my experience, my kids are happiest when I give my time, not my cash, to them (installing the go-kart motor is high on the list for this summer).

A bloke at work took his daughter to Monarto zoo last weekend, and he claimed that you can now feed the giraffes there !? I don't know if he was taking the mickey, but if true it could be a good daytrip for a young'un.

Go and find a lake somewhere and feed some ducks, simple, free and little girls love that stuff.. take some lunch or something too...

Plaster funhouse is fairly cheap, there's one at Holden Hill dont know if they have one anywhere else.

The beach is always good. kid has fun playing in the water..MAL can perv on all the loverly feMALes..

Teach her to study the form guide? maybe you've already taught her that though...

Mal,
My weeds have taken over the yard- you & young feMALe can come & slash them for me, then spread some mulch over it, to a depth of 75mm.
I won't charge you either.

Just got back from a stroll down to the Torrens to feed the ducks. Kids love it !
Going to the movies tomorrow.
Have organised a few play days with school friends.
The beach is a winner...
Nanna & Pa's for a sleepover !
Swimming at the Aquatic centre...
Call your local council and see what programs they are running. The library is always fun too.

plenty around, just ring the community switchboards of a few radio stations and you will get a variety of things to take them to, may well be surprised what is available

Have you thought of asking her what she would like to do ???

When my godbrat and her sister in Brisi were that age one was obsessed with anything dinosaur related and for the other one it was all things ballet. Each would have hated anything conected to the other ones interests.

Regards
JAS

Can't help myself...

Fund raising for the PAMFC Booney?

Now to be serious, do you take a treasure hunt list before you go? Sounds like it could kill an afternoon pretty well.

A bloke at work took his 6 and almost 4 yo to Beerenberg to do some Strawberry picking on the weekend. Cost is minimal and he spent an arvo up there. He went to Grumpys on the way back for beer and pizza as well.
