Took a couple of pics tonight, thought I might share some, Johnny Haysman was in fine form dancing for the crowd.
Parked in the ideal spot near Hindmarsh Stadium and was home at Happy Valley by 10.20 after stopping for some beer on the way home.
The last one is my favourite, set the shutter speed to 2 seconds for that one, came out great.

Must be the only time of the year travelling South is quicker than travelling West. 2 years ago it took over an hour to go home (about 4km), this year it was down to Mellor Park on Henley Beach Rd, missed out on all the low stuff, but still got to see all the high stuff, kids were happy, home by 9:35, so I was happy too :D

Didn't bother trying to get close to tell the truth although would have liked to have a shot of Natalia, grrrrowl!
I took my kids as far as the last barrier so they could stand on that and see the stage but they could only make out the shapes just, any closer and they wouldn't have had a hope in hell of seeing anything.
Could hear it clearly though, still got them stuck in my head, here come the drums, here comes the drums...

Sometimes i really envy Johnny!
He just floats around without a care in the world, dressing and doing what he wants,
What a life!

Never been a fan of Johnny. If most of us tried to emulate him we would be arrested pretty quickly.

Fireworks do nothing for me. Never have. Good photos though.

Saturday night was my Engagement Party at the Air Apartments so I made 80 people or so miss out =)

I wouldn't go out of my way for them but the kids love them, I think that's what its all about.

I preferred Riverfire which was Brisbane's effort in August last year, had it going off the bridges there which made it look spectacular, also had a fly and dump by a RAAF jet which was the highlight of the night, I hadn't been close up to the Skyshow for about 15 years and can honestly say nothing had changed, if it'd been hard to get out I doubt I'd even bother taking the kids again but as its so easy they'll probably want to go next year.
