Without getting too personal (I'm not going to start a poll or anything) but I thought it was fairly common and I thought I'd be in favour when the time came. But the more I talk to people and read about it, it appears it is a bit more frowned upon these days.
To snip or not to snip???

My partner was discharged from hospital a few weeks before our newborn daughter. Consequently she had to commute to the hospital each day in order to breastfeed etc, and spent much of her days in the nursery. On one of these days, a bloke was admitted to the room. He took one of the male babies into a small adjoining room. On asking what was going on, my partner was told "you don't want to know".
The screams which subsequently emanated from the room reduced her to tears.
She is now of the opinion that anyone who would have their kid circumcised ought to be prepared to stand within earshot when the operation takes place.

Freaking ugly things if you ask me.
