It is with deep regret the SA Harness Racing Community announces the sad passing of top owner and bloke, Allan Turner.

Allan died last Sunday week after suffering a stroke but his contribution to the Harness Racing Industry over three decades has been enormous.

Allan owned many top pacers mainly in the last fifteen or so years trained by Lance Justice but he also had horses with Malcolm Hann, Barry Forrest and Sandra Hutchinson.

Sincerest condolences to his wife Barbara and family.

My mum and my late aunt worked for Allan in the early 70's at Holbrook meat in North Adelaide. I remember meeting the man on several occasions at different places throughout my childhood.
I can still remember sitting at his 'big' desk in his office as a little tacker.
Allan put on a bbq for the winning 1972(i think) North Adelaide Premiership side.
Didnt really know him but my condolences to his family and close friends.
Too fast to live, too young to die.
