Last night (Sat) whilst dining at the Nor East, a brazen low-life entered my front yard and stole my treasured Piaggio Vespa Zip 50cc scooter.

Red in Colour with a top box and complete with Redlegs Sticker and Eurocycle sticker on the numberplate.

Manufactured in 2002 and only 4,000kms on the clock. Purchased new with a small inheritance from my late grandmother.

Reg is YYI-073
Engine no. is 32034
VIN/Chassis no is ZAPC2500000032636

Stolen from Ascot Park.

It has a white Vespa sticker on the front, side and topbox.

Also contained a flame helmet, gloves, HV Vest, waterproofs etc.

Only goes 60km/h so follow it if you see it and call the police!

This is a longshot but there is a lot to gain personally if I can get it back.

Cheers.

FOUND!

Fortunately it has turned up this afternoon in a neighbouring suburb. Some minor damage but I'm yet to start the post-mortem.

Will have to get new locks at the very least.

Bike recovered and it starts, but all acessories stolen - helmet, gloves, waterproofs etc.

Was found close to an apparently well known house of shameful criminal activity. I suspect it was a lazy alternative to getting wet last night or indeed, walking the 2km it was that I pushed it home.

Glad you got your scooter back. Back in the 80s I had a Yamaha trail bike, I took it to the local dealer in Kapunda to have a small job done under warranty, didn't think anything about it for a week or so as I was in no hurry to get it back as I was in Adelaide. I get a call from the cops, telling me that they'd recovered my bike, I reply I didn't know it was stolen, anyway the genius who took it from the Yamaha dealer who was also the local garage, just used the key and rode away after breaking in, when it ran out of petrol he just left it on the side stand and walked away, he didn't know that it had a reserve tank, duh! Anyway, this low life who was known to the police, and he also set the garage on fire before departing with my bike, unfortunately for the garage in pre computer days was that all of their billing records etc were burnt and they had to rely on the honesty of the locals to recover their bills. One thing I agree with the moslems is their treatment of thieves, it's more difficult to be an effective thief with only on hand  I hate the term "illegal use" it's straight out theft in my opinion
