A bloke in England had to bowl at three stumps, and hit them.

Then bowl at two stumps, and hit them.

Then bowl at one stump, and hit it. For $80,000.

Watch the video.

Chewing gum.

Have had a fierce cold for the last week. I have been blowing snot from my nose at a rate large enough to fill a small bin with tissues every day. However the most annoying symptom of the cold has been a heavily blocked left ear, possibly exacerbated by some air travel.

Tried some oral decongestant tablets. They did nothing. Woke at 4 in the morning with severe sinus pain and a nose full of fresh snot.

Tried holding a warm facecloth against the side of the head: no effect.

Tried some nasal spray. Dried up much of the snot in a hurry, but did nothing for the blocked ear.

Finally tried some chewing gum, in the optimistic hope that a bit of jaw movement might loosen whatever was stuck up my Eustachian tubes. Spent about an hour going to town on a piece of Wrigley's Extra. Then had the urge to blow my nose.... instantly there was a gurgling noise as air finally penetrated through the left ear, and the tissue filled up with thick and deep yellow mucus, expelled from deep within my sinuses.

Feeling much, much better now, and no longer suffering the sensation of having several megalitres of mucus hardening beyond my inner ear. Chewing Gum FTW!
