Na, it's when I grab a litre of CC's and a couple of bottles of champers on my way home, drop a blue tablet, get in our birthday suits, lock the front door and cause the neighbours to go inside and shut their windows and doors for the next few hours.

At his age it isn't a "blow by blow" event, more like "blow" and sleep.

Ease up, I'm only 42, an early start to the evening and a few can be squeezed in.

Yeah my biggest flaw in my relationship is I probably let my emotions to outside things (family, work issues, sports failures etc) get in the way of how I can react to her

It's something I never do, we don't argue and if anything, she pipes up without realizing it at times, I just say calmly "when you find the awesome chick I fell in love with, can you let her know that I'll be out the back ready to talk about how good life is"

It's usually the end of her whining.

Urrghhh, all this new love is making me sick.

Had our 18th wedding anniversary last Monday, I got her 18 roses delivered on the morning, nice note, I got a text to say "thanks".

I got a new pair of shorts after she went shopping after work. That's romance. ;)

Mate, I was in a 15 year marriage and the missus was in one for 21 years, we had both no intention of going around again until we stumbled across each other, we see them as practice runs and now we get to enjoy the best years of our lives.

I envy your relationship, you both seem happy and accommodate for each other, the roses and shorts are enough to show the appreciation towards each other after all the years, well done.

Thanks mate, I was only kidding above, great to see two people so into each other, especially after a rough time in recent years. Excellent to see.

Nah, I'm having a lie down instead, worked on my resume for about 5 mins and felt drained so doing a Black Sails marathon in bed now, I should be OK. Hoping to have a nap so I have energy for the pub this arvo too. FML.

Sad days.

I'm just trying to deflect my thoughts of one of closest mates for the past 30 years messaged me this morning to tell me his wife has been diagnosed with luekaemia, they are a lovely couple who open their house every weekend for anyone to have a few drinks and crash if they want and are the first to help out anyone in need.

Life certainly has some bizarre unfair twists.
