Wrong thread, but thanks to the bloke who did stop and called me, then stayed with him while I drove to where he was to scoop him up. He now looks like the Mummy, but is back to his smart arsed self so all ends well.
Glad he's okay smac.
Talking about people 'ignoring' kids in need. A bit like the 16 year old girl on the train who was sexually assulted in the middle of the day - and apparantly passengers on the train just sat there and did nothing.
Sad.

Agreed bayman - I am very reluctant to aid or assist anyone elses kids unless there is absolutely no other option.bayman wrote:the really sad thing smac is that while you would think most would come to the aid the 'precious minority' would be calling for a persons head for hugging & comforting a child & calling it much differently

I'm not talking about hugging and comforting - just something like getting a prickle out of their foot. Happy to talk them through it but reluctant to do much else other than get their parents to sort it out.A Mum wrote:fish wrote:Agreed bayman - I am very reluctant to aid or assist anyone elses kids unless there is absolutely no other option.bayman wrote:the really sad thing smac is that while you would think most would come to the aid the 'precious minority' would be calling for a persons head for hugging & comforting a child & calling it much differently
There is really no need for 'hugging and comforting' - you can comfort a child just through speaking to them - no physical contact required.
And therefore getting the parents phone number and ringing etc - putting the child on the phone to their parent etc, etc.
Just my thoughts
