Keep a record of it MP just in case you end up in court over access to your kid. In my experience she will try to assassinate your character so it would be good to have some ammunition to use against her. This is not usually my style but sadly this is how these things often play out.

I arranged mine to come out from the employer, so I never see the money, never get sent a bill, anf never have to worry about it...

It just gets done... Every week... No reason to complain...

You heartless SOB

I think MP was saying his ex was complaining about him paying his child support, not complaining for having to pay for it.

Staying up late to watch Martin Scorsese's classic Taxi Driver.

Only for it to get bumped for Geoffrey Atherden's lightweight TV movie Stepfather of the Bride.

Up yours ABC!

The dole system!

encourages bludgers to sit on their butts and do nothing! Then I get chewed for not placing them into work!!!

There needs to be more incentive for people to get work.

So many clowns I have to deal with say they want to work but don't! very frustrating!!!!!

the incentive is after a period of time unemployed they lose a % of their dole so eventually it gets down to a figure where they need to work

SHOULD be that way but isn't!

I'd love to rework the system... the issue would then be loopholes, people will find them and milk them even more than what they do now!

So many people 'tick the boxes' to make sure they continue getting the dole with no thought of finding work!

I'm saying that she is complaining that I don't pay MORE for my 19-month old baby who I've seen twice.

Ng. sometimes it goes the other way!

ATM I am looking for work. Before Christmas, I was fortunate enough to obtain just over a months work as a subcontractor. During this time I was scheduled to have a meeting with my Job network provider but obviously wasn't going to forgo work to attend a meeting that could be rearranged to a more suitable timeslot.I called my JNP and they were very happy to arrange another time but explained that they needed to verify with my employer that I was actually working. No Problems. I received a call back from both my JNP congratulating me for finding some work and rescheduling appointment and my employer asking what the call he received from said JNP was all about!

Fast Forward a few weeks. I log on to Centrelink to lodge my fortnightly form only to be told that I needed to call Centrelink because there was an issue of some kind. Okay no worries. Call number to be told that I was suspended for 13 weeks because I did not attend a meeting with my JNP! Yes that's right, it was the same meeting that I thought had been successfully rescheduled. Any way the girl makes an appointment for me @ Centrelink to hopefully get things sorted.

Now comes the fun part! I attend @ Centrelink with payslips from employer confirming i worked on that day and letter from JNP with the rescheduled appointment details. Girl @ Centrelink is confused as to why I needed to continue receiving benefits when my records shows that my JNP PLACED me in full time employment x number of weeks ago!

Now as you can imagine, I was pretty pissed off by this stage. Not with Centrelink ,as they were only acting on the information received, but with the incompetent fools at JNP who not only lodged a breach on me for not attending a meeting I had proof was rescheduled but then taking credit for finding and placing me in a non existent full time position!

And now for the final twist. Despite all the proof I presented to Centrelink and going through an exhausting appeals process the powers that be have decided that my suspension stands!

So summing up, I am effectively being severely financially punished for doing the right thing and finding work and then trying to reschedule a appointment. It's staggering the snowball effect such a simple request can trigger!

NG. I am willing to work so don't hesitate to pm me if you have something going!

end of rant

i hate centrelink, encourages people to be lazy and sit home doing nothing, makes it hard for people coming out of work to get it, and makes in nearly impossible for people to go to full time study.

i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

X( 2 litre Pura Milk plastic bottles.
After you open them they keep slipping around and just won't tighten properly .
Dunno why they bother putting a use by date on the bottle.
You have to throw out the sour milk after a day or two.
If Dairy Farmers can source a container that seals properly, why can't Pura ?
No wonder Dairy Farmers milk is always sold out at my supermarket.
Has anyone else noticed this ?

I'm hearing you PG. I have just completed my Bachelor Degree last year having commenced as a 30 year-old. To study full time I needed Austudy payments. A combined Austudy + Rent assistance provided $440 per fortnight (assuming I did not work). As a result I had to work part-time as that figure wouldn't meet rent, bills etc. That was fine with me as I did not want to be a 'drain' on the Govt/society. Problem is, if you do the 'right' thing and get extra work whenever possible (such as holidays, summer etc) Centrelink would end up penalising me. Not having a whinge as I am very grateful for Centrelink, but I found it a bit strange that I was constantly being 'punished' for working!
