That should help melt the snow and reduce the need for snow plows ;)

Don't think H&S allow it these days but have seen it done. Back in '79/'80 when I was working on a Vulcan Sqn (no not the pointy eared kind) they parked one at the end of a runway and fired it up to help clear the snow and ice. Doesn't melt it but a sheet, probably about the size of a tennis court, lifted a few inches of the ground and smashed down into a million pieces which made it easier for us minions to shift by hand.

Don't think they'll be flying here now...snowing again and the ploughs are back out.

Meat from the service deli's at the supermarkets lasting a day at most .. not sure WTF is going on these days but I always have to throw it out 2 days or more before it's due by date has been reached.

That's why I don't get it from there if I can help it ...

Either ask them to slice it on the spot, or go to a butcher or one of the 'southern european' delis if there's one handy.

The majority of Foodlands (particularly the Drakes ones) are dodgy as. The independent ones though tend to be pretty good.
