If their footy team was as good as their food they would be near the top of the ladder.
Never had a bad meal there, highly recommend

Paid for by work which really helps and pre ordered so it was served 3 minutes after sitting down.

8 of us had a variety of steaks, Hawaiian and Parmi schnitzels, chicken wrap, salt and pepper squid and the boss and I both had the seafood platter. All plates were left empty and no complaints at all. Hard to complain when someone else picks up the tab admittedly.

Platter was awesome as it featured pawns, salt and pepper squid, some other prawns item, fish, chips and salad. All cooked well and retaining their authentic seafood flavour.

9/10, probably gets a half to full bonus point for the fact it cost nothing.

I eat there once a week and they are probably going about 48/50 for meals 7.5/10 or above. It's also clean, spacious and the service is friendly with a few stunners floating around. They have daily specials and they must take some of the blame for me being a fat bloke. If your ever down that way it's worth a visit and I may be wrong but I reckon there is a 25% voucher in the ent book.

comments for cash.. you're hardly going to say a bad word about your own employer, are you?

If the meals were crap I would appropriately report that but the fact is that the food is good and Lisa is a gun chef.

Also for the record I am not employed by Glenelg.

Since Wristys been banned (bullshit call by Wedgie) I guess someones gotta review something.

Me and the missus went out to the Lighthouse Hotel at Port Adelaide.

Didnt really have big expectations but they delivered a good experience.

We both got schnittys with different toppings. It was really hard to decide which one to have because they all seemed good.

I got the meat lovers topping and she got the salty pig topping. Hers had a few pieces of crackling on top (which i stole half of) [emoji6]

They have a menu of beers from their own micro brewery, but Id already got a beer before i realised. Ill be trying a couple next time we go in.

Both meals were amazingly cooked. Best schnitty Ive had in a long time.

The buffet was good too. Great salads and very good hot food selections.

All up with a ent. book voucher cost $45 for 2 x mains, a wine, a beer and a cheese and mustard bread side.

Had a walk around the actual lighthouse afterwards and didnt get stabbed, so a good night was had by all.

9/10

If its the same next time, they will get the 10

Wedge called him white trash.

In his retort, Wristy use Wedgies real name...which im sure most people on here already know. So he banned him.

Probably pay attention to some local footy media during the week....could be interesting [emoji3]

That would be fairly immature if he did say anything. Having a crack at something that happened on an AFL forum has nothing to do with local footy.

Not sticking up for Wedgie either, disgraceful by him. I don't know why it's deemed so bad for one white guy to call another white guy white trash though.

Further to that, having a crack on another medium is going to do no favours on here either....

Lyndoch Hill

Beautiful restaurant with a nice open fire out the front. Great service from staff who were there when you wanted them but not hanging around annoyingly. A lot of local produce, a lot of it sourced from their estate.

Was tossing up between a goat dish and a deer dish, having not had either meat before. Ended up going with the goat dish, a curry type thing. As we were waiting for our meals, we were given a plate of bread and olives, and this little bite sized radish concoction the chef had come up with. Could have eaten 30 of them.

Main meal came and didn't disappoint. Was the right size and was something Id love to go back and eat again.

9.5/10. Highly recommend

I took the missus here a couple of years ago.

The servings didnt look big, but they were deceptive and filled me up.

We both had a good time there.

Just got back from a weekend in Lyndoch, Friday night we ate at Lord Of Lyndoch. All meals were outstanding. Had the S&P Squid for entree and a lamb Ragu for main, both beautiful. Everyone else had steaks and they looked excellent and were popular among all. Bit more expensive than pub prices but highly recommend when the budget allows. Service excellent too.

Last night was One on Gilbert (at least I think that's what it's called, next door to the pub). Again meals a bit more expensive than pub prices, but excellent quality and all you can eat Salad/Veg bar (inc Soup) and all you can eat desert bar. Great feed, relaxed country service, be more than happy to go back there again.

8/10 for LOL and 7/10 for OOG.

Worst part about the Lighthouse? Closed on Mondays which is a preferred dining out night at the Boon home.
