Weatherzone reckons we are going to get 90% of 40-80mm friday. And 80% of 10-20mm.

No chance of 40-80mm in a day here!

BOM site says "a little rain" on Friday and "scattered showers" on Saturday.

I doubt we will get 5mm, let alone 40-80.

Not sure why anyone would pay attention to Weatherzone - they're always Waaaaaaaaay off the mark.

So are "Accuweather" on my Firefox browser, though perhaps not quite as much.
None of the overseas sites ever seem to be as accurate as our BOM site.

Willyweather is my choice 15-25mm. 80mm is a joke. Don't know if Adelaide could handle that.

I reckon you've shown enough to get a job at the Bureau, they're normally about as accurate as that ;)

I took 3 mm out at 6am and there's more than 25mm in the gauge now, I'd be surprised if we don't get at least another 10 over night

Meanwhile, here in northern NSW it is heading for 24 today and 26 for the next two days, until the cold snap drops it to 21 for a couple of days thereafter.

I was in the outskirts of Brissie a couple of weekends ago - a great day and 24 degrees with a gentle breeze.
I drove up to meet a friend of mine who is a GP in Springwood at the Horizon Shores Marina where his 30 foot diesel cruiser is moored.
We spent a good 6 hours cruising around southern Moreton Bay stopping at anchor off North Stradbroke Island for lunch and a few beers.

He let me steer the cruiser for most of that time - even after lunch - so I assume he has good insurance...
