People who can't drive.
People who tow caravans with a gutless car, can't do more than 80 and travel in a convoy.
Truck drivers who overtake in overtaking lanes, when it may have been smarter to allow, 6 quicker cars to pass first.
Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing.

Our Daughter is 21.5 months, was in hospital for 5 days or so about 6 weeks ago with it aswell, was the same thing when in the ER, doctor didnt think it was so bad and was on the verge of discharging her, when an 'older' more experienced nurse just happened to walk past. Just hearing and seeing Lexie made her ask a few questions and when she found out what had (or hadnt) been done she went nuts, ordered a few tests and basically took over the doctors job!

Maybe asthma isnt around or a big deal in the country of origin of these doctors, but in Australia its a big deal and if they dont want to treat it seriously then well, maybe they should be a gp or something, not an ER doctor.

Sadly most doctors today are more worried about you signing the Medicare form than actually providing a proper diagnosis/service. It's why I've only been to a doctor twice since 2002.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Was in a problem solving workshop recently and they use the example that Doctors are the worst problem solvers on the planet!

They never drill down to find out what the root cause of your condition may be and put steps in place for it to never return, they just wrtie a script for you to get rid of the symptons temporarily and move onto the next patient.

It wasn’t the 5:45 wake up to drop my sister-inlaw to the Airport for her 6:00am flight that gave me the shits, it was:

• Travelling through the backstreets I stopped to give way to a oncoming car as I was turning right, the car stops at the edge of the intersection and flashes it’s light telling me to go, it was a Taxi, let’s just stick to the road rules we know and understand instead of introducing the middle eastern free for all!!

• I get to the drop of zone on the bridge out side departures, lees than ½ the stopping area is occupied but there is 5 cars that had to squeeze between others, angle parked, nose first into the curb so those around couldn’t get out and nbo one could travel in the left lane, yep, all 5 were ******* Taxis!!

• On the less than 2 minute drive home I turn left of Airport Rd into Marshall Tce, there were 2 cars parked on the Rd (opposite directions), drivers out of the car talking and I couldn’t get through, do you think at least one of them would attempt to move to allow me to continue, not ******* likely..................oh yeh, they were both ******* Taxis!

All that in about 5 minutes and less than 3KM of travel

Maybe asthma isnt around or a big deal in the country of origin of these doctors, but in Australia its a big deal and if they dont want to treat it seriously then well, maybe they should be a gp or something, not an ER doctor.

One of the issues that has always been big in the public system is that the state governments tend to staff public hospitals with young inexperienced doctors because they are cheaper to employ.
They also, these days, use older staff from other countries because if their qualifications are not recognised here that can also get them cheap.
Then they do not provide enough experienced senior doctors to supervise and support the inexperienced staff, because that costs.
[And sometimes those foreign graduates whose qualifications are not recognised in Oz are the supervisors!]

I remember saying at a staff meeting at the RAH in my first year:
"Here we have the least experienced doctors in the state treating the sickest people in the state under the worst possible conditions because we are all on duty about 130 hours a week."
[The next year the industrial court banned working young doctors more than 85 hours a week and gave them time and a quarter after 54 hours.]

However, wise young doctors should wake up to the idea that experienced nurses can teach them a lot and be humble enough to be friendly with them and ask their advice in unfamiliar situations. Older foreign graduates from more hierarchically orientated cultures tend to have problems doing that though as they then feel demeaned by admitting they don't know it all to a [lowly] nurse.

So, in the public system you'll get good service if you come in as an emergency with trauma, or an obviously severe condition, because you get the attention of the few senior staff on duty.
But otherwise you may get medium to poor management.

The state government run system is about cost containment and god looking statistics, not a comprehensively good service, and that's why keeping private insurance affordable with federal subsidies is a good idea.

Neighbours who knock down the wooden prison cages - yes, wooden prison cages! - they've been storing on premises.

Real estate agent finally saw it and told them to get rid of it or they'll get evicted.

So this clown has been removing it piece by piece and dumping it in a skip all morning long.

Only thing bigger than the racket he's making is his afro.

Hope he smashes his hand with the hammer.

I wasn't thinking once and opened the bag before I put it in the microwave. It was actually really funny - unfortunately I was the only one in my family who thought so though. :(
