Obviously no right or wrong answer

1. Motor Sports- im not big on cars, use them to get me from a to b, dont like the fact that in most motors sports the playing field isnt level with there been a massive gap between the best car and the worse car when it comes to finances, speed etc etc not driver ability

2. A-League- will give it time but currently the standard is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO average, had blokes drop back from Adelaide United to only been average Div 1 Ammo players within a year.

3- Swimming- watching people swim up and down in a straight line BOOOORING, have a mate who is the state 50m freestyle champion, trains twice a day 5 days a week watches everything he eats lives his life through swimming, missed out on either olympic/commonwealth games selction by half a second, apparently thats a country mile in swimming terms FAAAAAAAAARK that just swim one stroke slightly quicker FFS ;)

Is average at moment but slowly getting better.
Standard isnt bad considering its not our number 1 sport.
A- League is probably comparable to the bottom half of the English Championship/ Top half of League 1

How can you quantify such a statement? I'm highly incedulous here on this one.

I think soccer is boring, watching a 90-minute game that often ends in a draw.

Yet I get enthralled by a game that lasts five days often for the same result.

It's a weird one, depending on your sporting passion.

Just an observation, after following the English leagues for many years and attending numerous matches in the UK.
Its no differant than comparing the SANFL to VFL or WAFL.
In my opinion i believe the A-League is the same standard as the better teams in League 1 and the lower teams in the Championship. Brisbane or Central Coast would do quite well in the Championship

Brisbane would be lucky to beat time without Thomas Broich but I don't know much about Soccer so I'll take your word for it regarding the standard. You never know Jimbo, one day we might actually agree on something ha ha. :D

Come on
We both agree the Cats and Legs are awesome and Haddin is an average keeper ;)

Unfortunately the Legs aren't that awesome and I think you've overrated Haddin. ;)

considering that Jim and myself follow the English game alot, we can tell how good otheer teams out of other leagues would fare. like celtic and rangers in the scottish league, they might be streets ahead of the rest, but in england, they would be mid to high level range of the championship (div 1) in england. And seeing you support norwood, and i dont follow the SANFL even i can say if norwood was in the AFL as their current state, they would be bottom 3 of the AFl. And im assuming you would agree with it which would mean you can tell how good teams are in other leagues compaired to the higher leagues etc

Simple, I strongly disagree ...

A-League is light years below English football as is any SANFL club compared to an AFL one.

It's like saying Eddie the Eagle was an Olympic athlete.

Granted I have not seen much A League nor any lower English league soccer but I think it would be an interesting match up for the A league sides to take on a League 1, 2 or Conference side and see what happens.

Australian sides have had plenty trouble with the top Japanese sides (Gamba Osaka anyone?) but competed well against Korean sides in the past.

Who's on first?

OK, then ... I'm talking out of my Arsenal.

Back on topic.

Soccer is boring as bat shit ... plus the governing body is corrupt.

Get's my vote.
