She really is an idiot. Well, both of them are, but mainly her, because she's now selling her story to a magazine. Does she not realise this is going to put a big hole in her legal argument?

It looks that way. She is quite untalented (and tv stations won't touch her for hosting kids shows), so it looks like its a deliberate ploy by her newly aquired manager who is a well known publicity seeker.

that would be newsworthy!

I believe that Symonds was a "third wheel" in the relationship, between Clarke & Bingle, although initially wasn't ;)

I see Mr Clarke has had to fly home for personal reasons and won't be playing in the one dayer today. Could there be some major tension in the air? Hope he stays home for the rest of the tour of NZ.

Stop press: a photo scandal has emerged
By Jonathan Green

Updated Wed Mar 3, 2010 11:09am AEDT

"Former prime minister John Howard sent a message of support to Bingle as the controversy continued."

Good grief. Let me run through this once more just to test the old sense of proportion.

Bogan A and Bogan B have an affair. Bogan A is a married footballer with a string of behavioural priors. Bogan A takes a photo of Bogan B emerging from the shower. On his phone. As Bogans do.

Slight digression ... it is an instinctive modern response to raise the phone in front of the face and photograph any even remotely extraordinary occurrence. Apparently the proof of one's own eyes is no longer deemed sufficient. I have a theory here that the effect of this almost obsessive behaviour is in fact to distance the observer from the object. The mind, relaxed by the consoling thought that the moment has been captured idles its retention bits. Maybe.

Anyway, besotted Bogan A snaps the comely though bedraggled form of Bogan B seconds before she can reach the seclusion of the DFO bathsheet. He presumably runs from the room giggling while Bogan B shrieks "BRENDAN!" at the departing form, towels off and resumes the normal working day of a sought-after 19-year-old bikini model.

Bogan A keeps said photo either through technical incompetence (can't work out how to delete), nostalgia or, ahem, pride. Bogan A does not appear to be overly concerned that at some future date his wife and mother of his children may trawl through his phone memory, but that's another matter.

Then it seems Bogan A, or perhaps one of his mates, does what any other self respecting meat head would do in the situation and forwards the photo to a few other mates. This is a mobile phone enabled variant on an age old, though no less gauche for all of that, theme.

Years later the photo, now part of some dim footballer zeitgeist turns up in the pages of a women's magazine. The magazine, awestruck and thrilled with its, ah booty, goes large with its scoop. Attention is focussed nationally on a: the former liaison (now a bit seedy, certainly nothing to brag about on the part of Bogan B) and b: the state of candid undress of the former bikini and lingerie model, a woman now making her way along the somewhat more refined, better heeled and less goosepimply path of cricketing WAG.

She does what any wealthy person with a sense of grievance has a right to do and sues (never mind that the law pertaining seems at best ambiguous). The entire nation suspends whatever else it might have been doing on the Tuesday in question and focuses its attention. If she were visible in this moment of distress we would presumably raise our phones to capture the moment.

Expert comment is sought, former prime ministers intervene, the deputy prime minister pauses in the hitherto seamless introduction of a new national curriculum for schools to ponder the intricacies that might follow when bogans in lust bring phones to the bathroom. The world all but shudders on its axis.

There is a missing element in all of this, some motivating cause that has propelled this tawdry little pile of dismissible dross to national attention. What could that be?

Of course. Max Markson... the celebrity agent Bogan B signed, ooh let's see, a week ago. Nothing to see here folks. Back to your lives... all we are watching is the circular flow of income...
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

what chance has Bingle got of winning this. IMHO none, yes Fevola as much as I hate the man for his antics and the way he treats people has done what, been involved in an affair with her. He takes a photo on his phone (allegedly) of her naked in the shower. She looks horrified. When Fevola goes to Court he will probably admit all that but then say he did not forward it on to anyone. Can it be proved beyond reasonable doubt or on the balance of probabilities that he did, again IMHO No. quite simply we all know Fev's history of getting blind and acting the goat, can guarantee he will deny sending but will use the excuse i got drunk one night and left my phone somewhere and someone must have sent it on. Sure, yes, they can trace phone records but they cant trace who forwarded the pic on. We all know what probably did happen but it wont be proven. Ms Bingle will then be up for huge court costs and lawyers fees when her claims are thrown out. I dont agree with Fevola taking the photo in the first place but hell Bingle knew she was sleeping with a married man to start with. I also dont agree with the gutter journalism shown in relation to the matter Nows shes selling her side of the story but doesnt like it when the media role up this morning and gives them the fingers. She didn't have much of a career before this, I would say what she did have has gone and I would say that the damage caused may well have a say in her husband to be's cricket career.

for those interested i have seen the photo and it 's nothing flash, it can be found in the oz celebs forum under her name with quite alot of interesting comments, starts on page 3 of that particular thread

I feel sorry for her that Fev took the photo when he obviously didn't have her permission.
So yes sue if you need.
I don't feel sorry for her re all the media attention - as in she has now sold the story so of course there's going to be extra media attention.

I just read that Lara was seen on her balcony yesterday looking 'worse for ware' there's a picture of her on the phone,
And the only thing she did was give the waiting media 'the finger'

What's the bet she was on the phone to her manager and he told her to.

Hence even more ongoing media attention.
You get what you give....
