Bloody beautiful.......

Absolutely !!! Cramming into the take-away area waiting for a pick up and then driving home filling your car with the beautiful smell of Thai food... awesome !!
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

*Bump*

Hi everyone. My Aunty is coming over from melb on Wed
and is staying in Glenelg. Since that is not my neck of the woods, I was hoping
for recommendations of Chinese/ Asian restaurants in the area
Where to go and what to avoid.
Thanks.

YUM SING is yum yum and worth singing about too !
=p~
We're addicted to the joint. Dine-in or take-away we go there twice a week.
:D

One of the best around, still. Their satays are worth driving a good distance before. Have been known to do just that and have a big plate of them.

Richmond Chinese (across from the Mobil on Richmond Road) is pretty good also. Prices are reasonable, quick service and friendly. My sisters and I take Mum there each year for Mother's Day at her request and always leave full as boots after the banquet :)

T Chow in Chinatown is very nice also. Keep meaning to try the Yum Cha for lunch one day, I walk past it nearly every day and difficult not to stroll in for a bite.

Trev, in answer to your question - I've never had a bad meal at Lim's in Partridge Street. Can be a bit pricey, depending on what you are after, but very good food.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Empreors Crown - fantastic Chinese there. Always get it for lunch at least once whenever I'm on annual leave.

Another good one is the Kwan Yen in Para Vista.

Yep that's the one. And that Foodland/IGA/Para Vista Supermarket changes hands every month! Actually, it was vacant for awhile, and Victory Church wanted to move in there but their application was rejected, they're at the old Skate FX in Pooraka now.

Glad it went well, Trev :) . Always had a top experience there, so happy that it has continued for others.

Dutchy, got to agree with T Chow's service too, forgot to mention that. Second to none and really good sized portions also. Struggled to finish mine last time there, which is unusual for me.

Went to Yum Sing on Sunday for lunch, happy to report their satays are as outstanding as always. :D
