Might not have been the design, but it is the outcome.

A group of guys in their early 20's in Bendigo were telling me they would usually sit around playing XBox, and they ended up going for a walk to the botanic gardens, did 2 laps, weren't ready to finish, so walked to the lake, did a few laps of that, then went home.

They walked 9kms that day, instead of chilling out on the lounge.

Sounds like a good outcome to me.

"Do not chase Pokemon into controlled or restricted areas, office buildings, or homes on base."

Walking several km's a day, no matter how fast or slow is a damn sight better than the zero excercise some people would've been getting before.
